The Technical Officials in a Weightlifting Competition consists of Referees who judge the lifts, Speakers who direct the flow of the competition, and Marshals who manage the attempts of each Athlete.

As the sport of Weightlifting continues to expand in Singapore, SWF aims to grow our National Technical Officials (NTO) team. Technical Officials (TOs) are invaluable to our sport, our community and our competitions.

Registrants Criteria:

- Registrant must have Singapore Citizenship/Permanent Residency with the knowledge and interest in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.

- SWF reserves the right to accept or reject application(s) for the NTOs in the interest of the sports and Federation.

- SWF may conduct the suitability assessment of the applicant before accepting or rejecting an application.

National Technical Official Certification and License:

- Participants will be invited to be certified as an NTO subject to the EXCO’s approval and recommendation of the Technical Committee Chairperson.

- Candidates will be required to complete the following examinations with a passing mark of no less than 90 (full score of 100%):
      1) Theoretical exam
      2) Practical exam in a SWF Club Meet within 6 months of the conclusion of the theoretical exam
      3) Practical exam in an Athlete Assessment or local competition within 6 months upon completing the SWF Club Meet

- Successful candidates will be issued with NTO License by SWF and will be subject to the NTO Code of Conduct handed out together with the License.

- License fee is renewable at $50.00 for 2 years.

- NTOs must complete minimally 1 club meet and 1 national competition duties scheduled and sanctioned by SWF yearly to renew their license.
