Singapore National Weightlifting Championships 2026 &Singapore Weightlifting International 2026
The national championship (SNWC 2026) and the international invitational (SWI 2026), will be competing side by side on one platform.

1) Registration
SINGAPORE ATHLETES · SNWC 2026
28 Sep – 16 Oct 2026
Open to Athletes (Singapore Citizen & PRs) who have met the qualifying criteria at a designated SWF Club Meet in 2026. An invitational email will be sent to athletes who have qualified.
INTERNATIONAL ATHLETES · SWI 2026
Registration period: 1 – 31 July 2026 (registration will close once the dateline or maximum number is reached, whichever is earlier)
Please ensure a valid email address is provided during registration, as the payment request will be sent there. Payment must be completed between 3 – 14 August 2026; entries with payment outstanding after this period will not be accepted.

Competition Format
One Platform. Two Championships.
SNWC 2026 and SWI 2026 will run concurrently within the same competition sessions. Local and international athletes will compete together on the same platform, while results and medals will be awarded separately according to competition category —ensuring fair recognition for domestic athletes pursuing national titles while maintaining an inclusive international environment.
2) Eligibility
NATIONAL
Singapore Athletes
Must meet the qualifying total criteria at one of the designated SWF Club Meets within 2026 in order to compete.
INTERNATIONAL
Invited International Athletes
Registration is open to international athletes to participate in SWI 2026. Qualifying results must be submitted via the registration form link the total and competition it was achieved in 2026 . Payment must be completed upon request for a confirmation of competition entry
3) Competition Categories & Medal Awards
Although athletes compete together in the same sessions, medals are awarded separately by category.

NATIONAL CATEGORY — SINGAPORE ATHLETES ONLY
● Gold — Singapore National Category
● Silver — Singapore National Category
● Bronze — Singapore National Category
SWI 2026
INTERNATIONAL CATEGORY — INVITED ATHLETES
● Gold — International Category
● Silver — International Category
● Bronze — International Category
4) Qualification Criteria
▪ SNWC 2026 and SWI 2026 will follow the new IWF weight classes and UMWF age categories
▪ For Masters athletes (aged 30 and above), achieving a successful total at any SWF Club Meet is sufficient to qualify.
▪ Athletes who do not attain a qualifying total at any SWF Club Meet will not be eligible to participate.
